Ty Dolla Sign Handcuffed by Police After Drug Search in Atlanta
According to Atlanta jail records, Ty Dolla Sign was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia on Weds, Sept. 5.
Currently he has yet to be released from Fulton County Jail. He was granted a bond of $500 for both the marijuana and paraphernalia charges, but a bond has not yet been set for the cocaine charge, which is likely why he's still locked up.
XXL has reached out to Ty Dolla Sign's team for a comment.
Ty Dolla $ign ran into some legal trouble in Atlanta this afternoon (Sept. 5) after he was handcuffed and taken away by police, who searched what appeared to be his tour bus for drugs.
It's unclear at this point if he was actually arrested or just detained but weed laws in Georgia are notoriously strict. Video from the incident acquired by TMZ shows a handful of police officers going through Dolla's limousine van. At one point, a drug dog begins barking aggressively. A police officer can be heard telling Ty and his associates that he spotted some marijuana in the backseat of the car and asks if anyone wants to own up to it. They all remain silent.
Ty Dolla $ign and another individual can be seen later in handcuffs as they're escorted to a police car. The Beach House 3 crooner was in Atlanta to perform with G-Eazy, Lil Uzi Vert and YBN Nahmir on the Endless Summer Tour. It remains to be seen if he'll make the show tonight.
