A little while back, Tyrese said his famous friends hadn't offered any help as he engaged in a lengthy and expensive courtroom battle against his ex-wife Norma Gibson, who's gotten a restraining order against the singer and prevented him from seeing their 10-year-old daughter Shayla. Now, Tyrese's friends Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have apparently stepped up to the plate by giving him $5 million to stay afloat as he continues his court battle. He revealed as much in a new Instagram post.

"When we show UP for each-other there’s nothing that can’t be done I repeat nothing," Tyrese said in the post, which includes several images of himself and Will. "My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat- You’ve guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid ! will listen..... The Smiths’s and their whole family has always shown up for The Gibson’s Uncle Will you’re an uncle for real..... And I’m saying again if you guys are out there in the Atlanta area please vote for @keishabottoms someone my daughter looks up to a LOT!!!! #ShaylaRocks."

You'll notice that Tyrese wrote that one of Will and Jada's conditions for the money they've apparently gifted him was that he stay off the internet. There's a reason for that. If you haven't been keepings score, Tyrese has publicly beefed with his Fate of the Furious co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson because the actor apparently wants to shoot a Fast & Furious spinoff rather than jumping into a direct sequel to the latest installment of the franchise. His Instagram beefing has drawn plenty of ire from people all over the internet, and there's no doubt it's hurt his image to some extent.

What's also hurt his image are his ex-wife Norma's allegations that Tyrese physically abused their daughter Shayla. A while back, Norma claimed the singer/actor once hit Shayla so hard she couldn't even sit. According to Page Six, though, the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services have dropped their investigation into the matter. They won't be seeking any criminal charges against the entertainer.
