She's on a role, and there's no signs of Cardi B’s shining star slowing down! CNN reports the Bronx rap diva will in fact be joining the cast of the upcoming Furious 9. For that matter wrestling great, John Cena and Ozuna (Qué León), who collaborated with her on “La Modelo” will also be in the upcoming installment. The big news came Tuesday via social media from the one and only Vin Diesel.

Diesel posted a surprise video of himself and Cardi from the U.K. revealing the rap superstar will be part of the famous franchise. Back behind the camera is Furious 6 director, Justin Lin and Dan Casey who penned the script. Hopefully Fast & Furious 9 will rise to the expectations of big box office dividends. Furious 8 grossed over $1.2 billion in 2017 and the spin off Hobbs & Shaw raked in$758 million.

Fans can expect Furious 9 to hit theaters on May 22, 2020, along with its original cast including Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese. Cardi said from the set, “I'm tired, but I can't wait. I ain't gonna front, I think this is going to be the best one.”
