Watch People Guess the Price of Old Technology, Presented by BuzzFeed [VIDEO]

Watch as BuzzFeed rounds up people to have them guess the retail prices of some of the best selling electronics from the 1970’s, 80’s, and 90’s. The prices will shock you!

When you think of old technology like “camcorders, 8-track players, Sony Walkmans, and etc.,” we tend to simply brush it off as such, “old technology.” Well, I have news for you, that “old technology” was probably pretty damn expensive and out of your 2015 budget.

I'd never have imagined that a 90’s style camcorder was as expensive as $2200! Of course at that time, I was enjoying being a kid and my parents were footing the bill for the technology I loved so much.

What’s even more amazing about "old technology” now, is that most of it’s tasks can be done with a device that on average costs between $200-$700. Yes, I’m talking about the modern day cellular phone, better known as "the smart phone.” New cell phones take photo and video, and store it! Your modern cell phone also plays and stores music and movies, and can even be used as a flashlight.

Wow, how times have changed in such a short period of time.
