Lake Charles Trash Collection Resumes After Weather Delays: Updated Schedule for Southwest Louisiana Residents
Weather permitting Solid Waste crews in Lake Charles and the greater Southwest Louisiana area are set to resume trash and garbage collection on Thursday, January 23, 2025, following weather disruptions.

Monday Pickups:
Rescheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Tuesday Pickups:
Rescheduled for Friday, January 24, 2025.
Thursday Pickups:
Rescheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2025.
Friday Pickups:
Rescheduled for Monday, January 27, 2025.
Special Notice for Recycling and Incinerator Services:
The Nelson Road/Alma Lane Team Green Recycling Truck and the Solid Waste Incinerator will also resume operations on Thursday, on January 23, 2025, weather permitting.

According to city officials Solid Waste crews are committed to catching up on collections as quickly as possible despite the delays caused by severe weather. Residents are encouraged to place their trash and garbage out according to the updated schedule and remain patient as the city works diligently to restore regular service.
