Wes Tank is a filmmaker and musician from Milwaukee who has recently begun uploading videos of himself rapping Dr. Seuss books over various beats, mostly from Dr. Dre.

At the time of this writing, his latest video is The Cat In The Hat, rapped over Dan The Automator's mix of Blue Flowers from Kool Keith's Dr. Octagon album and Nothin But A G Thang from Dre and Snoop.

This is something Tank has been doing for some time during his live shows, ever since he found a copy of One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish on his way to a show one night. He got the idea to try rapping it to Dre's Deep Cover and the rest is history.

His first video was rapping Fox In Socks over beats from What's The Difference and Let Me Ride.

Since stay-at-home orders have gone into effect across the country, Tank has had time to sit down and record some of his performances, which is something he has been wanting to do for a while now, but has never had the time.

Well, he has the time now. And none of us were prepared.

Here he is, rapping Green Eggs And Ham over Forgot About Dre.

Tank followed that one up up with The Lorax, rapped over beats from classics such as California Love, Still D.R.E., and Lil' Ghetto Boy.

Rapping Dr. Seuss books is nothing new, of course (check out this Migos-inspired version of There's A Wocket In My Pocket, for example), but there's something special about Tank's versions we can't quite put our finger on.
