Zapp's is now coming to a frozen food aisle near you with a new line of frozen appetizers.

File this article under, "What took you so long?"

Zapp's has always been my favorite chip brand. I'm so loyal that even though I believe the quality has gone down a little since they sold the company to Utz, I can't resist picking up a bag if I walk past one in the store.

My go-to flavors are Creole Onion and Gator Dill. However, I have a special place in my heart for the whole line of chips.

Zapp's parent company, Utz quality foods, and Monogram Foods have partnered to make three new frozen appetizers made from some of Zapp's most popular chips.

Here's a break-down of the new appetizers:

  • Jalapeño peppers - made with Zapp's Hotter 'N Hot and Palmetto brand pimento cheese
  • Fried Pickles - made with Zapp’s Voodoo flavored batter
  • Boudin Balls - crusted with Zapp’s Cajun Crawtators flavor chips

A spokesperson from Monogram foods said the new frozen appetizers are available throughout Louisiana in Walmart and Winn Dixie stores. They will also be available at Rouses in the near future.

I've recently started a Keto Diet, but you can guarantee when I start to incorporate a carb-cycling day in a few months, these bad boys will be on the menu. Just for now, if you've had them, comment on the article on our Facebook page and let me know how they taste.
