If you missed the Taste of Home Cooking Show at the Lake Charles Civic Center, then you missed the part of the night where I rushed the stage, chloroformed hostess Jamie Dunn and then made off with most of the dishes, which I ate in the parking lot like a crazed, homeless person.

Okay, that didn’t really happen, but boy did I fantasize about it a lot.
