Antonio Brown Accused of Rape & Sexual Abuse by Former Trainer
Antonio Brown seems to be a magnet for controversy. The star NFL wide receiver is now being accused and sued by a woman who alleges he raped and sexually assaulted her.
According to ESPN, the lawsuit was filed Tuesday in the Southern District of Flordia. Brown's former trainer, Britney Taylor, is accusing him of sexual assault that took place on three separate occasions in 2017 and 2018.
Taylor alleges that Brown exposed himself and kissed her without consent in 2017 at his home in Pittsburgh. A month later, in his hometown of Miami, she alleges he masturbated near her without her knowledge and ejaculated on her back, then later bragged about it in text messages. Then in 2018, Taylor alleges Brown forcibly raped her at his Miami home.
Brown's lawyers released a statement citing that the newly signed New England Patriot was in a "consensual personal relationship. Any sexual interaction with Mr. Brown was entirely consensual." They plan to do whatever it takes to clear his name, and intend to counter sue.
Taylor and Brown attended Central Michigan University together, where she was a gymnast. They reportedly met in a bible study group and remained friends before they fell out of touch. Then in 2017 then reconnected, where Brown hired Taylor to assist in his physical training, said EPSN.
Taylor's lawsuit alleges she suffers "near-daily panic attacks and suicidal ideations", and she's seeking over $75,000.
