Belly Announces Date For New Album And “Live From The Shadows” Tour -Tha Wire [VIDEO]

Canadian rap star Belly, is having a big year.  The rapper/songwriter closed-out 2015 by inking a major deal with Jay Z's Roc Nation.  Thanks to his moving through the ranks of The Weekend's XO Brand, Canada has another artist ready to take over the world. According to reports Belly is gearing up to drop his debut album, with plans to headlining his first tour.

So be on the lookout cause it's about to go down.  First off, today the rapper announced a release date for his new album.  The project is called, Another Day in Paradise, and includes his fire single "Might Not" featuring The Weekend.

The song is currently #3, down from #1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Charts.  The new album from Belly will be in stores May 27 and features collabs with everyone from Lil Wayne, Kehlani, Travis Scott, Waka Flocka and more.  Not only is he the first big Canadian rap stars from outside of the GTA, he's a hell of a song writer too. Matter of fact, he's a vet in the music biz having worked with the likes of Snoop Dogg to Juicy J, DJ Drama and others.  Plus, he managed to pen the track, "6 Inch", for Beyonce's Lemonade album.

Also today, Mr. "Dab Life" announced his headed out on the road for the "Live from the Shadows" tour this summer. The tour will jump-off June 27 in San Francisco and wrap-up on July 31 in Las Vegas.  Best of all, he's gonna make a stop close to home in Houston.  Check-out the entire 23-city tour itinerary below:
