Benefit Barbecue Dinner For Shayne Hayes October 29, 2016 At Huber Park

Come out and show your support for local resident and music artist, 16-year-old Shayne Hayes. For the second time, the teenager is battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of your immune system. As you can imagine, medical treatment is extremely expensive. Shayne has been battling cancer since 2015. By the grace of God and lots of prayers, he beat his first bout with the disease after going through nine months of painful treatments.

Now it's back, but Shayne and his parents, LaTasha George and Kevin Hayes, aren't giving up. The whole family is getting ready to move to New Orleans, LA so Shayne can undergo a Stem Cell Transplant to help save his life.

According to his mother, he will be hospitalized for one month. After that, he will be discharged, but will need to remain close to the hospital for roughly 100 days. As a result, this family is in great need of the finances to help Shayne get this life saving procedure.

To help offset some of the massive expenses of the move, housing, treatments and more, the Hayes family is having a Benefit Barbecue Dinner Sale on Saturday, October 29, 2016. The dinners will be sold for $8.00 a plate at Huber Park, located at 2401 4th Ave in Lake Charles, all day starting at 9am. So please come out and get some great food and help save Shayne's life.
