Bun B has been displaying his culinary skill on his #TrillMealz Instagram series, but he recently used his culinary tastes for a worthy cause– the kids.

Houston Culture Map reports . The event featured a crowd of 400 people chowing down on bits from  20 Houston-area restaurants for the benefit of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Among the judges were Bun, Trae and more.

The event raised a record-breaking $170,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters. The organization is "the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network" and aims to "provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever."

In other Bun B news, the hip-hop vet previously said his new album, Return of the Trill would arrive in March, but it's apparently been pushed back. It'll probably be here sometime before summer, if all indications are correct.

Next up, Bun will be at Trill Grill Fest 2018, headlining alongside Big Krit. That festival goes down on June 30 in DC. Check the post below for more info.
