Celebrate With Christian Baptist For Their 100 Year Celebration
Christian Baptist Church will be celebrating their 100 Year Church Celebration next weekend in Lake Charles. The church is lead by Pastor Edward Alexander and First Lady Edriena Alexander.
It all kicks off on Friday, August 17th at the Lake Charles Civic Center with doors opening at 5:00pm. The event will kick off promptly at 6:00pm. There will be a wonderful concert featuring Gospel sensation, Anita Wilson, and recording artists, Chester Diagle and Jarius Diagle.
On Saturday, get ready for the Centennial Parade that will be lining up at 9:00am at 202 North Franklin Street. The parade route is from Opelousas to Goos Blvd to Moeling Street, Shattuck Street, and back to Franklin Street.
There is a $20 entry fee for groups, and $10 for individuals. After the parade, get ready for The Centennial Picnic at the south location 4460 5th avenue with food and games and fellowship from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
The finale is on Sunday with a day of celebration and an entire day of worship beginning at 8:00am at the south location, 4460 5th Ave, featuring Rev Edward Alexander at 11:00am. The worship will be held at 202 North Franklin street with guest minister Rev Milton Ceasar. At 3:00pm, the centennial message will be delivered by Rev Byron Broussard at the north location.
