Congratulations are in order for current Calcasieu Parish Police Jury President Tony Guillory, who has recently been appointed to a one-year term as Vice Chair of the National Association of Counties Community, Economic, and Workforce Development Steering Committee.

NACO currently serves nearly 40,000 county-elected officials and 3.6 million county employees, and seeks to advocate for government priorities in federal policy making, to help optimize county and taxpayers resources and cost savings, and to foster the public's understanding of county government.

Guillory has been active in NACO since 2013. He served as both a member and a subcommittee vice chair for the Community, Economics and Workforce Development Committee. We want to take this time out to congratulate Tony and wish him the best in his new position. If you would like more details about NACO, please visit www.naco.org.
