The forecasters were spot-on with this one: they predicted Hurricane Delta to hit just 12 miles from where Hurricane Laura came ashore, and that's just what she did.

As you can see here in Sam Lillo's Tweet, the National Hurricane Center made a precise prediction for Delta's landfall to be around Creole, Louisiana, just 12 miles from where Laura came ashore.

The rest of the forecast has Delta headed in a more north-easterly direction across the state than Laura's track, but many of the same areas are in danger of being affected.

Let's hope that her speed across the ground increases so that she can glide right on out of here. As usual, this hurricane is predicted to lose strength as it moves farther inland.

We hope that you are all safe during the storm.
