We ain't letting a little rain mess up the Downtown at Sundown celebration presented by the City of Lake Charles. This is Southwest Louisiana and sometimes the weather doesn't jive with our outdoor plans. Though humidity and rain come with the territory, no clouds are going to throw shade on our sunshine!

The Friday night tradition of the Downtown at Sundown concert series will continue tonight with Week 2 inside the Lake Charles Event Center in the Sudduth Coliseum (900 Lakeshore Dr.). As always, this is free and open to the public. There is something for everyone: live entertainment, artisan, home goods, crafts, and food vendors.

There will be plenty of space to shake a leg at the Civic Center, so bring your dancing shoes. Tonight, the famous, family-friendly downtown festival presents Swamp Night! Take a look at the musical line-up below.

Enjoy the Zyedeco and Cajan bands from SWLA! Catch live entertainment from 6-9 pm with Brandon Ledet & Creole Touch live from 6- 7:30 pm, followed by Brandon Broussard & Chez de Bon Temps from 7:30 – 9 pm.

There is plenty of stadium seating inside the coliseum. However, attendees are more than welcome to bring their lawn chairs. Come out of the rain and head inside to enjoy a great night of music entertainment from our local celebrities.

Next Friday, June 7,  is Intern Night, with live music by The Tugboats and Kris Harper as the featured performers. The grand finale, Geaux Blue Friday, is on June 14. Justin Martindale & The Backstabbers and Doc Wilder will close out the 2024 concert series.
