Eminem Ties Jay-Z as Rapper With Third Most Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Hits Ever
Eminem has officially caught up with Jay-Z in the never-ending race for rappers with the most top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.
Thanks to Logic's new Eminem-featured track, "Homicide," entering the Billboard charts at No. 5 this week, Em's tally of top 10 hits now rests at 21. He now ties Jay-Z for the third-most top 10s for a rapper. Above the pair are Lil Wayne (24) and Drake (33).
Just slightly over one year ago, Drake was behind Jay-Z with top 10 hits until the January 2018 release of his Scorpion cuts, "Diplomatic Immunity" and "God's Plan." The songs both debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, bringing his amount of entries to 22 and officially surpassing Hov. Since then, he's racked up an astounding 11 additional top 10 singles, which included an assist that gave Meek Mill his first top 10 single ("Goin' Bad"), and now sits proudly in the top spot.
In other Eminem news, the Detroit rapper recently celebrated 11 years of sobriety in April. He acknowledged the feat through an Instagram post, where he shared a photo of the commemorative coin he was given for reaching the milestone.
"11 years - still not afraid," Em wrote with the photo.
