Lake Charles Man Arrested for Failure to Register as Sex Offender

A local man was arrested after he failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements. Convicted sex offender Keith W. Robertson, 38, or Lake Charles was arrested on May 6, by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.

According to a media release from Kim Myers, in January 2019, Robertson contacted the Calcasieu Parish Sex Offender Unit to make them aware he was in search of a new address to reside at. However, he failed to schedule several appointments in January thru April, and he didn't complete his annual registration in March 2019. These offenses put Richardson in violation of his sex offender registration requirements, said Myers.

Robertson was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender. His bond is set at $10,000. In 2005 he was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Calcasieu Parish.
