Fall Back 2024 - When Does The Time Change?
It's about that time! If you're a fan of longer days, like me, unfortunately for us the 2024 Daylight Saving Time is quickly coming to an end. The United States enacted the time change to preserve daylight in 1918 and since then the country has turned clocks back one hour each year on the first Sunday in November.
Though 19 states, including Louisiana, have passed legislation to make Daylight Saving permanent, the U.S. Congress has not approved these states to make the switch. Until that happens, the longstanding Fallback tradition will continue.
The 2024 Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 3, at 2 a.m., or set your clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed on Saturday night. Look on the bright side, you'll get another hour of sleep.
I always feel like I have to rush to get everything done before it gets dark in the Fall. Many people find it hard to adjust to the time change and get less sleep trying to get used to the time change. Next year, we will spring into Daylight Saving Time on March 9, 2025. Save the date!
In the meantime, here are a few things you should know about the excellent time change debate. Also, if you deal with body clock issues when the time changes, here are a few things you can do to help your body get acclimated to the new time change:
