Families Helping Families Of SWLA Empowerment Conference & Resource Fair [VIDEO]

If you're an individual, parent or guardian who's disabled, learn about all the resources and services available to you and your family at the FHF of SWLA conference in March.

Don't miss the Families Helping Families of SWLA Empowerment Conference and Resource Fair Thursday, March 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  It's going to take place at the Lake Charles Civic Center at 900 Lakeshore Drive, in the Contraband Room.

Come out for a full day of information and hear keynote speakers, who will highlight support and services available in SWLA for individuals with disabilities and their families. A light lunch will be served for all attendees.

Keynote Speakers:

Cindy Arceneaux - Client Advocate for the Advocacy Center, in the Supported Independent Living Advocacy Project (SILAP).  Arceneaux will Discuss Advocacy Skills and Behavior Supports for students with disabilities.

Shawn Fleming - Deputy Director, Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council. Fleming will provide information on Act 833- Alternative Pathways for Grade Promotion and Graduation.
