Former NBA Star, Lamar Odom Collapses In LA Nightclub -Tha Wire

Today in Tha Wire, HipHollywood reports former NBA star Lamar Odom had a health scare over the weekend. The retired baller was getting his party-on at Hollywood hotspot, Bootsy Bellows. Witnesses said one minute he was laughing and talking, the next he was on the floor slumped over a table. Odom was in the VIP section of the club, when the scary situation unfolded at around 2 a.m. Sunday (November 4) morning.

The video below was shot by a club goer, shortly after the star had collapsed.

As seen on the video, several people rushed to his aid. It's still unclear as to whether he was standing, and fell, or sitting at the booth and slid to the floor. Either way, TMZ reports the former NBA star is “doing great.” His rep also released a statement to offer further explanation for what happened saying,  “He was dehydrated and had been in an intense workout earlier in the day. It was also very hot in the club.”

Since his stint in rehab last year, L.O. has reportedly enjoying life and living sober. We certainly wish him continued success on that, along with a recovery from his long weekend. By the way, the Lakers great was more than likely trying to get an early celebration going. Today he officially turns 38 years old! Happy birthday Lamar!
