Former Wendy Williams Show Intern Files Suit – Tha Wire
The Wendy Williams Show proudly promotes the fact that they offer an internship program on their website, but recently the show has been put on blast for treating their interns unfairly. According to The Hollywood Reporter , a former intern has filed a lawsuit against the companies that program The Wendy Williams Show.
Anthony Tart, is suing Lionsgate entertainment company and its subsidiary Debmar-Mercury, in a class action lawsuit because the show owes him and other interns money. Reportedly Tart and other interns had various tasks to perform for the show including washing dishes, taking out trash, getting coffee, running errands and more.
AllHipHop reports, Tart and his fellow interns argue that the companies did not provide any academic or vocational training either and would've had to hire paid employees for the duties he and fellow interns were required to do. The interns claim the companies were breaking the law...find out why below inside Tha Wire.
