Foxy Brown Believes the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors Are Beneath Her
This past Monday (July 11), VH1 honored the ladies in hip-hop by paying tribute to rap legends like Lil Kim, Queen Latifah and Salt-N-Pepa. But one person they didn't honor was Foxy Brown, and after the event she spoke up about getting left out.
"I Awoke This Morning, Oblivious And Shocked At Our Fans Across The World's TRENDING Outrage At (Reality Show Network) @VH1's Non-Inclusion Of LAURYN HILL & FOXY BROWN," wrote Foxy on IG.
"Personally, I'd Prefer Being Held To A Much Higher Standard In My Walk, But Fans Went Ballistic; The PEOPLE Have Spoken! We've Been Blessed To Set The Bar At It's Highest Heights," she continued, implying she's above getting honored by VH1.
She went on to say that instead of being recognized on TV, she received the key to Brooklyn back in March. Foxy also referenced the fact that Lauryn Hill was left out and mentioned how much fun she has joking with Lauryn about this kind of stuff.
"My Girl L BOOGIE (My Fav) And I, Have The Dopest Convo, Cracking Jokes In Our Caribbean Accents As She Prepares For An Amazing Overseas Tour," she said.
Foxy found herself in hot water recently after she made comments in support of Donald Trump. “No matter how many people sabotage his campaign, it keeps growing and growing and growing,” Brown told the New York Daily News. “I know so many people won’t agree with me and will try to change my mind, but I’m a smart girl. I’m excited…I haven’t been this excited in so long. I know people say he’s a racist, but that’s just crazy.” She later denied endorsing Trump, claiming the Daily News had twisted her words.
