A lot of families have been affected by Hurricanes Laura and Delta and many can't afford car seats for their kids. This weekend is dedicated to parents in need. There will a free car seat giveaway this Sunday at the SWLA Center For Health Services (2000 Opelousas Street) in Lake Charles. Parents will need to bring the child the car seat is intended for and the vehicle the seat will be installed in. Technicians will be on hand to install the car seats and give user instructions to those who need the info.

The event will take place November 8th, from 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm, and the only requirement is to register online prior to the giveaway. Sign-up now at umcno.org/childseats, print-out or screenshot the registration confirmation email and bring it with you the day of the event. That's it! This event is brought by LA Passenger Safety Task Force, LA State Police, Transportation Highway Safety Administration, and the SWLA Center For Health And Services.

Another car seat giveaway will take place November 14, the place and time are pending. Stay tune for more info coming soon.
