Future Takes Shots at Rocko During Twitter Q&A
Update (Feb. 22, 11:23 a.m. EST):
Rocko has shared some more thoughts on his situation with Future in a recent Instagram post promoting Future's new HNDRXX album. "ONLY REASON IT'S EVEN A LAWSUIT IN PLACE IS BECAUSE HE SAID LET THE LAWYERS HANDLE IT," he says in the lengthy note. Read the whole thing below.
This weekend rumors surfaced that Rocko's lawsuit against his one-time rap game comrade Future had concluded, and that the outcome meant that the Purple Reign artist would have to pay a hefty portion of his earnings to the "Umma Do Me" rapper over the next few years.
Despite Rocko himself shooting down that erroneous claim, Twitter took the story and ran with it. So, appropriately enough, Future Hendrix addressed the situation during a Twitter Q&A session today (Feb. 21), while also sending a few shots Rocko's way as he answered a question about his new album.
When one fan asked Future if he was dropping his second new album in as many weeks because of his legal battle with Rocko, Future offered an emphatic response. "No way in the fuck am I doing it for him," he explained in a video he uploaded to his Twitter account.
He continued, "But at the same time, know what I'm saying, shit gon' get took care of. We working, we richer than ever, you know what I'm saying? When niggas go broke they do dumb shit. I don't know what's going on, but at the end of the day, we making hits, we making history, they want to be part of history you got to do something to tag along. So that's what it is. Tag along nigga."
Rocko sued Future last year because he wasn't included in the EVOL rapper's new record deal with Epic. Since then, the two rappers have been feuding, and however this case ends, we doubt these two will be cool again any time soon, especially with these fresh shots from Future.
During the Twitter Q&A, Hendrix also said he'd collaborate with the Migos and revealed that he and Young Thug record 10 songs together every time they hit the studio. Plus, it seems like he confirmed he's dropping that new album on Friday and let fans know he'll be performing on Jimmy Fallon tonight.
Earlier today, the "March Madness" rapper also offered up a trailer for his upcoming music video for "Draco," a track from his newly released self-titled album. You can peep that below, as well as all the responses he gave during the Twitter Q&A.
