Governor John Bel Edwards spent the day in Lake Charles. Today, the Governor was attending two groundbreaking events to include BioLab. The pool chemical and chlorine suppler was destroyed after a fire broke out due to damage caused by Hurricane Laura.

Edwards attended the BioLab groundbreaking event this morning at 10:00am and spoke on the importance of getting the plant back up to speed. Construction is now underway for a new facility that will hopefully be up and running by the end of next year.

Later today, he will attend the Port Wonder groundbreaking ceremony on the lakefront beginning at 1:00pm. The Children's Museum and Nature Center is a highly anticipated attraction for the city and will be a family destination for many years to come. Construction is already underway, and the attraction should be completed by early next year, if not sooner.
