Gucci Mane doesn’t need alcohol and drugs to get by anymore, and he’s standing by his decision.

"I love to tell someone, 'Hey listen, I don't do drugs. I'm sorry baby, but I don't want anything to drink, I'll take a water.' I take pride in it.”

The “All My Children” rapper was on hand for ESPN’s His & Hers to discuss how prison changed him for the better, his latest feature on Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles,” his love for the Crimson Tide, and most importantly staying sober.

Gucci told the crew of His & Hers, "It changed me, 'cuz it just gave me a time to sit back, evaluate my life and look at all the mistakes, all the things I know that I did wrong and I need to correct. And to ensure that I don't come back into this prison I'm just gonna be totally sober... I want to jump every hurdle that's in front of me, and it takes me having a clear mind. I know my weakness, and being sober is just like a big strength to me."

We’re happy to see that he’s staying on the straight-on-narrow, dropping new hit records, and we wish him the best staying sober!
