Just as we would expect in South Louisiana, a number of people are already banding together to help the family of fallen Louisiana State Trooper Steven Vincent, who was gunned down this past weekend.

Before we get started, though -- let's take a moment to remind one another that not everyone who wants to collect money for people in a time of tragedy do so for the right reasons. Be very careful about handing out money. Sad, we know -- but it's worth remembering. We feel confident about the events and benefits listed below.

The event will be family-friendly, and all are invited.  Bring lawn chairs, bring the kids, bring the neighbors: spend the day supporting the family of Trooper Steven Vincent.

Several Jeep owners across Acadiana abd Southwest Louisiana have already expressed interest in attending the event.

For information about volunteering or making a donation, contact the Seven Slot Society on Facebook or email sevenslotsociteyofswla@gmail.com
