Iconic Downtown Clock Has Been Saved And Will Remain In Tact [PHOTO]

When the word got out that Keith's Pawn Shop would be closing, the word came that the clock that sits on top of the sign would be moved. This was not something that the residents of Lake Charles wanted to hear especially since it has been apart of the Lake Charls scene for decades and is a part of the community.

This is a part of history and when the community found out that due to Keith's Pawn shop closing that the clock would be lost. They rallied together and decided to do something about it. This is very important as it shows that when we want something, all we have to do is have a voice and make some things happen.

It's amazing when groups can come together for a great cause. With the saving of the clock, this will ultimately be something that we can spread the word with to our kids, grandkids and visitors who want to know a little about history in Lake Charles.
