Most school activities are on pause because it is the summertime, except for 10 Southwest Louisiana kids who have qualified for BASS High School National Championship Tournament!

Three Southwest Louisiana schools will be represented at the National Fishing Tournament happening later this month. Barbe High School will be sending a team, Sam Houston High School will be sending a team, and Sulphur High School will be sending three teams!! Southwest Louisiana will be very well represented!

The 2023 Strike King Bassmaster High School Championship Tournament will be taking place July 27-29 on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina. The Bassmasters High School Championship Tournament was first held on Lake Hartwell in 2022.

The 15th annual High School Fishing World Finals and National Championship has been announced for Lake Hartwell Anderson, SC. June 19-22, 2024

Sam Houston High School: Eli Cruze and Malcolm Leger

Barbe High School: Kellen Katchur and Dakota Manuel

Sulphur High School: Cameron "Marv" Courville, Gavin Burnett, Wyatt Roach, Carter Lanclos, Kade Ellender, and Brandon Courville.
