Trying to hear sounds on a smartphone can be annoying, particularly if you don't have a pair of headphones with you.

You might not be aware of this, though, because the iPhone has an integrated audio capability.

This iPhone trick raises the volume and intensifies the sound on your device so you can clearly hear every word Taylor Swift sings.
Quick tip: First, make sure the volume isn't initially set too low. To bring the volume up to the maximum, press the button. Try this next action if that's still not loud enough.

Open the Settings application.

The equalizer, or EQ, is disabled by default on Apple devices.

Selecting the Late Night preset results in "a reduction in the loudness of loud sections and an increase in the volume of quiet sections by compressing the dynamic range of the audio output."

Selecting this setting is advised by Apple for "listening to music on an airplane or in some other noisy environment."
