Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana's popular festival Chuck Fest is back for another year. Chuck Fest takes place in downtown Lake Charles. The festival takes over the entire downtown Lake Charles streets filling it with arts and crafts booths, food trucks, and stages at different intersections in the downtown area.

One of the cool things about Chuck Fest is that there is no entry fee. That's right, it's free to attend. There are outdoor stages and stages placed inside of local businesses in the downtown area like in Luna, Panaoroma, and other restaurants in the downtown area.

How did Chuck Fest start? According to the website,

Chuck Fest is an annual Louisiana-centered music, art, food, and culture festival held in Downtown Lake Charles in mid-October. The festival started as a grassroots event in 2014 run by local restauranteurs Dave and Nan Evans. Chuck Fest quickly took off from a single small stage to what is now a full-fledged downtown event.

Chuck Fest was handed to the Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA to bring back the beloved festival for the community. Despite an abbreviated planning period, Chuck Fest 2022 was a major success with nearly 12,500 in attendance over the 12-hour event.

Chuck Fest is proudly presented to the community of Southwest Louisiana by the Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA through our partnerships with the City of Lake Charles, Visit Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, the Louisiana Division of the Arts, and our generous local business sponsors.

Chuck Fest is a one-day festival and this year will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and runs from Noon until midnight that day. Here are all the artists scheduled to perform live that day.
