City of Lake Charles and Mallard Golf Club Host Free Youth Golf Clinic
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Young golfers in Southwest Louisiana will have another chance to learn the game as the City of Lake Charles' Partners in Parks Initiative joins forces once again with Mallard Golf Club for a second free Junior Golf Clinic on Monday, August 3, 2026.
The clinic will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Nelson Ball Park, located at 4399 Alma Lane, and is open to children ages 6 to 14. Organizers launched a second session after the program's popularity and positive response from local families.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction from Mallard Golf Club's PGA Professional, who will introduce the fundamentals of golf through interactive lessons, games, and skill-building activities.

Whether a child has never picked up a golf club or is looking to improve their swing, the clinic is designed to provide a fun and welcoming environment for all experience levels. Families won't need to bring any equipment, as golf clubs and all necessary supplies will be available for participants during the event.
To help everyone stay cool throughout the morning, Lake Charles Coca-Cola is partnering with organizers by providing refreshments for the young golfers.
The clinic is free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged. Parents can reserve a spot by emailing lex@mallardgolfclub.com.
