LSU Fans Storm Court After Beating #17 Kentucky in Baton Rouge Wednesday Night

What a night for the LSU Men's Basketball program on  Wednesday Night as the Tigers play Upset King for the 2nd straight SEC game as the Tigers upset #17 Kentucky in Baton Rouge. What do the fans do when you've been spit out time and time again over the last few years when you win back-to-back Top 25 games? You storm the court

2nd year Head Coach Matt McMahon has taken a ton of flack over the last two years with the lack of success he and the program have had over the last two seasons after Will Wade was fired at LSU. Over the last week, he may have silenced those critics, for now.

In a back-and-forth game, the Tigers led by as many as nine points in the game, but Kentucky did what Kentucky does and that is FIND A WAY. Before then, LSU had to use a 20-point swing to find themselves even back in the contest after allowing a 16-0 run from the Wildcats

Under 15 seconds remaining and it looked like LSU's upset bid could be history after Rob Dillingham made what looked to be the game-winning shot with 12.3 seconds left. But after one of the most tumultuous finishes to a college basketball game.

Wright's attempt was blocked, and as he was falling out of bounds, he picked up the ball and threw it in the direction of the hoop. Tyrell Ward, an LSU teammate, was in the perfect spot to score as Ward caught Wright's throw and tossed it in for the game-winner as the time hit zero to give the Tigers an incredible 75–74 victory.

According to ESPN, LSU is the first team in SEC history to win consecutive games by exactly one point and against AP-ranked teams.

As the clock hit zero and the shot went in, it was pandemonium inside of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center after that. Students and fans began to storm the court. LSU is expecting a six-figure fine from the Southeastern Conference as a result of the celebration.
