Legendary New Orleans rapper Juvenile and Urban South Brewery have collaborated on a new brew called 'Juvie Juice' based on his favorite drink.

Terius Gray, better known by his stage name Juvenile, is New Orleans born and raised, known for his smash hit "Back That Thang Up" as well as many other hip hop classics.

Anyone who has listened to the rapper's music from the early Cash Money days of his career will probably remember hearing other labelmates referring to him by his nickname "Juvie," which is the namesake of the new concoction he has created with the team from Urban South.

The drink is a play on Juvenile's favorite drink, an Arnold Palmer, blending a hard half-iced tea with half lemonade for a brew that sounds incredible to sip on in the south Louisiana heat. Urban South founder and president Jacob Landry was not only excited to team up with a New Orleans legend like Juvenile but to also drop the brewery's first hard iced tea.

We are really excited about our collaboration with Juvenile. ‘Juvie Juice’ is inspired by his favorite drink, the Arnold Palmer. This is also the brewery’s first time releasing a hard iced tea, and we are excited about how the formula turned out.

Urban South Brewery is a craft brewery located in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. It was founded in 2016 by Jacob Landry and Kyle Huling, two local entrepreneurs who were passionate about creating high-quality, innovative beers that would appeal to the city's unique and diverse population.

The brewery's focus is on creating flavorful, approachable beers using locally sourced ingredients and traditional brewing techniques. They offer a wide range of beer styles, including IPAs, stouts, sours, and more experimental brews, such as fruit-infused beers and pastry stouts.

In addition to its main brewing facility in New Orleans, Urban South has also opened a satellite taproom and brewery in Houston, Texas. They distribute their beers throughout Louisiana and select regions in Texas, and have won numerous awards for their brews, including multiple medals at the Great American Beer Festival.

Urban South also collaborates with other local businesses and artists to create unique beers and taproom experiences that showcase the vibrant culture and community of New Orleans. They have worked with chefs, musicians, and visual artists to create special brews and events that celebrate the city's diverse heritage and traditions.

Juvenile is just as excited as Urban South to have his very own brew and has already thrown a few early samples off of Mardi Gras floats and given out beers to those who have come out to "Juvie Tuesday"—a gathering that is more of a weekly staple in the city of New Orleans.

According to Urban South, 'Juvie Juice' is 5% ABV, available in 12 oz and 19.2 oz cans; the only issue for those outside of the Big Easy is that if you wanna get your hands on a can, you're going to have to take a day trip to NOLA (for now).
