J. Cole Performs “Middle Child,” “A Lot” and More at 2019 NBA All-Star Game
J. Cole delivered a slam dunk with his fantastic halftime performance at the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte, N.C., on Sunday night (Feb. 17).For his set, the 34-year-old MC performed a medley of hits from across his career.
Cole started off with a performance of "Middle Child," a new song he released in January. A couple minutes later, he performed his verse on 21 Savage's "A Lot," serving up a shoutout to 21 while he did so. After performing his KOD track "ATM," Cole took things back a bit by performing his 2014 Forest Hills Drive album cuts "Love Yourz" and "No Role Modelz." It was definitely a moment.
Prior to J. Cole's halftime performance, Meek Mill performed during the introduction of the All-Star teams. For his part, the Philly rapper performed tracks like "Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)," "Going Bad" and more.
Late last week, Meek told fans in a Twitter Q&A that the long-awaited collab between himself and Cole was coming "very soon," so hopefully the pair were able to chop it up and figure out a game plan to finish this track!
