Chi-Town's Jackie Robinson West fell to a surprising 13-2 loss against Las Vegas Sunday in a Little League World Series winners bracket game.  The game got off to a rocky start for Jackie Robinson West as starting pitcher Brandon Green, didn't seem to be himself. Green threw several balls in a row and walked the bases loaded with Vegas first three batters.  Then Brad Stone cleared them with a grand slam to pretty much set the tone for the rest of the game.

Now it's time for some serious business if Chicago wants to remain a contender. Sunday's  loss will now force the Morgan Park squad into a must-win game against Cumberland, Rhode Island, 7 p.m. tonight on ESPN2.  We wish them all the luck in the world.  To follow Jackie Robinson West and keep up with their schedule, check out their Facebook Page.  Chicago's coach is confident his boys will redeam themselves in the double-elimination tournament. Coach Butler told DNAinfo Chicago Sunday, "We’ll just come out of the losers' bracket and win the whole thing that way."

Meanwhile, Mo'ne Davis, who pitched an astonding shutout in Taney's tournament opener, wasn't allowed to pitch against Texas because of Little League's rest rules.  However Philadelphia's Taney Dragons were able to survive and beat Pearland, Texas, Sunday in the second round of the Little League World Series.  All six innings were nail-bitting.  It was a classic back-and-forth shoot-out between Taney and Texas.

Taney had an early lead, but Texas hung in there and took over the lead by the fifth inning, after scoring four-runs in the bottom of the fourth.  Suddenly, Taney was down 6-3. But not out.  The Dragons closed the gap with two runs in the bottom of the fifth, bringin the score to 6-5.   Down to to their last out, Taney got a triple from Zion Spearman to tie the game at 6-6.

Then Tai Shanahan got his shot and hit a grounder.  Texas shortstop Matthew Adams threw wide to first to allow Shanahanto be safe, which allowed Spearman to score the winning run!  Mo'ne Davis and her Dragons celebrated their triumph beating Texas 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth.  What a game!

The Taney Dragons now head to a winners' bracket showdown Wednesday at 7:30 pm to take on Las Vegas, Nevada.  The very team that took down Chicago.  To add even more excitement, Mo'ne Davis will be pitching in that game.
