Earlier this week we brought you the story of the Ponchatoula market looking to sell the iconic caboose that's been parked on its property for the last 33 years. Well, it looks like they've finally found a buyer, and it's Bo Duke!

The owner of the Ponchatoula Country Market says they've sold the caboose to John Schneider and his wife after they posted a Facebook ad.

"Facebook sold it within 24 hours," explained Mardi Massel, the Ponchatoula Country Market Manager.

Officials with the Ponchatoula Country Market believe that everyone will be happy with the new buyer.

“We were immediately contacted by John Schneider, Bo from the Dukes of Hazard,” Massel said with excitement. “And, his wife gave it to him as a birthday gift.”

The Schneiders will be moving the caboose to their property in Holden, Louisiana and they're planning to restore it.

"We are happy with that decision," said Scott Allan, an artist at the Ponchatoula Country Market.

It wasn't made public how much the caboose went for but it was listed at $2,000. It did have damage, but the owners said its bones were sound.
