What a night!  I can't believe he had the energy to sing the way he did tonight.  I think it's safe to say Joshua was exhausted after all the festivities we had this past Saturday. The joy of coming home was bittersweet, though.  Joshua's uncle passed away last week, and his funeral was also this past Saturday.

He was a trooper, to say the least, because he was all smiles when he got to the radio station. It was about 8:30 a.m.  He greeted all his adoring fans, posed for every picture, signed every autograph and then sat down for a 30-minute interview with us.  That was just the beginning, because when he left us, he went straight to his uncle's funeral and from there, a parade in his honor with thousands of people lining the street in his hometown of Westlake.

After the parade, he performed in front of a little over 8,000 people at the Burton Coliseum here in Lake Charles.  By the time the concert wrapped up, it was 9 p.m.  From there, he performed at the Lake Charles Civic Center for another 5,500 people before calling it a night!  Talk about a full day.  Bless his heart, because he sang his butt off and gave us everything he had.

Tonight on "American Idol," only three Idols remain.  Each of them performed three songs.  Joshua performed first tonight.  His first song was an Etta James' classic "I'd Rather Go Blind."  Just like every week, he put his own spin on it and he absolutely killed!  Jessica Sanchez was up next and sang "My All" by Mariah Carey and Phillip Phillips sang "Beggin" by Madcon.

"I'd Rather Go Blind"

Joshua came back and sang a song he chose...."Imagine" by the legendary John Lennon.  Oh my goodness, I love that song and he sang it beautifully.  Jessica came back with an Aerosmith classic "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" and Phillip did "Disease" by Matchbox 20.

"Imagine"

Joshua's last song for the night was "No More Drama" by the one and only Mary J. Blige.  My good people, when I tell you that boy blew it out, he blew it out!  Oh my goodness.  I know Mary was proud.  Anyway, Jessica's last song was "I'll Be There" by the Jackson 5 and Phillips' last song was a Bob Seger joint, "We've Got Tonight."

"No More Drama"
