Kendrick Lamar recently made a statement that will surely spark debates among his hardcore fans on social media. In a new interview with journalist Touré for i-D Magazine, the TDE artist said that the Damn track “Fear” features his best verses ever in his career.

The song itself features K.Dot exploring three different situations that made him afraid at the ages 7, 17 and 27 respectively. The Compton rhymer said it's his most truthful song to date.

"It's completely honest," he says. "The first verse is everything that I feared from the time that I was seven years old. The second verse I was 17, in the third it's everything I feared when I was 27. These verses are completely honest."

Elsewhere in the interview, Lamar talked about the idealistic differences between former President Barack Obama and our current Commander-In-Chief Donald Trump.

"The key differences [between Obama and Trump] are morals, dignity, principles, common sense," he says. "How can you follow someone who doesn't know how to approach someone or speak to them kindly and with compassion and sensitivity?" he adds, in reference to Trump. "It's just building up the fire in me. It builds the fire for me to keep pushing as hard as I want to push."
