UPDATE: On Sun., May 12, reps for Rolling Loud have stepped forth to say that they had nothing to do with the arrest of Kodak Black, who had reportedly been preparing to perform at 2019 Rolling Loud Miami at the time he was arrested. At the time of his arrest, some outlets reported that the 21-year-old was arrested at the festival, but reps say that isn't the case.

"Kodak Black was not arrested at Rolling Loud," reads one part of the statement. "He was arrested on his way to the festival and we have no knowledge of what led to the arrest since he was not on festival property."

ORIGINAL STORY:

Just a few weeks removed from being arrested for weapons and drugs charges at the U.S. border, Kodak Black has reportedly once again found himself behind bars.

According to Miami's WSVN News, the 21-year-old rapper was arrested on state and federal firearms charges in Miami on Saturday (May 11). The outlet reports that the ATF, Miami-Dade Police Northside Gang Unit, and U.S. Marshals were all involved in his arrest. The Miami Herald reports that the rapper was arrested by Miami-Dade’s Northside Station. Kodak was scheduled to perform at 2019 Rolling Loud Miami tonight.

This news comes the same day Kodak Black's lawyer revealed that the rapper had offered to pay for the funeral expenses of Kendrick Castillo, a Colorado high schooler who died defending his classmates from gunfire on Tues., May 7. According to Kodak's attorney, Bradford Cohen, Kodak also offered to set up a $10,000 a year scholarship program in honor of the student.

In the message to Castillo's parents, Cohen wrote, “First let me tell you words cannot describe my sorrow for your situation. You raised an amazing young man that did an amazing thing. I know that those words cannot provide as much comfort as you and your wife deserve. I have a client that wished me to reach out and extend an offer for him to pay for any and all funeral expenses, as well as establish a scholarship in his name. Your son truly represents the inherent good in people. Again, I am sorry for your loss.”

This is a developing story. XXL has reached out to Kodak Black's camp for comment on the situation.
