Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Store Has Made $10 Million Since Rapper’s Death
Nipsey Hussle's The Marathon Clothing has seen a major spike in sales in the wake of the beloved rapper's death. The website for the merch has brought in over $10 million, a person on Nip's team confirmed with XXL on Friday (May 10).
The actual store, which was the location where Nipsey was shot and killed in the parking lot, has sadly closed its doors for now. However, the online store is still booming. It has brought in eighth figures since Nipsey's death on March 31, as fans and friends have flooded the site to make purchases. According to the source, hoodies, hats and t-shirts are the biggest sellers.
Nipsey's team recently thanked supporters via Instagram. "Thank you to everyone who's placed an order with us these last couple of weeks. We appreciate the unprecedented outpour of support. It means alot to our team and family," the store's message reads. "We are working around the clock to fulfill every order placed. We ask for your patience as we get everything fulfilled and shipped out to you. Additionally, our flagship store is closed right now, but our online store is open 24/7 to serve you and is the only authorized retailer of our brand. Once again, thank you for your support."
In other Nipsey-related news, earlier this week it was reported the rapper was trying to create an economic side of the Black Lives Matter movement before his untimely murder.
