Lake Charles 'Movies Under The Stars'

Movies Under the Stars, presented by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury in Lake Charles, is a great way to get family time on a budget. Grabbing a few blankets and lawn chairs doesn't cost anything, and heading out to the park, right? It's a great time, and best of all, it's free!

Movies usually begin at 6:30 p.m. or around dusk (times vary during the summer.) As a rule of thumb, you always want to arrive a little early anyway to allow for parking and to get a good spot. Feel free to bring your own food and snacks, but FYI, snacks will be provided, including popcorn and cotton candy, in addition to food trucks from local vendors. Please note that the movie presentations are at different locations throughout the City of Lake Charles.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 4 – FROZEN 2 (2019)

This movie will be shown at Prien Lake Park, 3700 West Prien Lake Road

FRIDAY OCTOBER 11 - SHREK FOREVER AFTER (2010)

This movie will be shown at Mallard Junction Park, 599 August St.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 18 - IF (2024)

This movie will be shown at Bulber Auditorium, 4205 McNeese St.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 25 - THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG (2009)

This movie will be shown at River Bluff Park, 543 Theriot Road, Moss Bluff.

Movies will start at 6:30 p.m. but be sure to get there early to get the best spots. Residents are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. Free popcorn and cotton candy will be served at each event. Residents can also bring their own food.
