The United States of America is gearing up to celebrate the freedom of our nation with at the 2024 4th of July festivities. It was 248 years ago that the Second Continental Congress unanimously agreed to draft the Declaration of Independence. This document announced America's 13 colonies' was cutting ties with Great Britain. From that moment on, we became a free country.

Thursday, July 4, 2024, join the local celebration of America's freedom as the City of Lake Charles presents its annual Red, White, Blue & You event, downtown. This year's festivities will include a few new activities so make plans to attend for everyone!

That's not all! Lake Area Adventures will be posted up on North Beach, renting watercraft like wave runners and Kayaks. Plus, they'll kick off laser tag and various other games at 4 pm. At 5:30 pm hear the patriotic sounds of the Lake Charles Community bands' 25-piece “Bayou Big Band.” and a live performance from the Flamethrowers at 7:00 p.m. at Lake Charles Event Center Arcade Pavilion. Followed by the grand finale fireworks display which will get underway around 9:30 pm.
