Lauren London Writes Open Letter to Nipsey Hussle on His Birthday

Nipsey Hussle's family, friends and fans are celebrating what would have been the rapper's 34th birthday on Thursday (Aug. 15). While those closest to Nipsey plan to celebrate his life in a private ceremony, Lauren London, the mother of Nip's youngest child, offered a very public homage to the slain MC.

Sharing a picture of Nipsey on Instagram, she wrote an open letter to the late rapper in the caption.

"Today we celebrate you my beloved," she started. "Today we honor you King. We are to live in our highest vibrations today because that is how Nip lived his life. We should encourage and inspire today because that is how Hussle lived his life. Today we should love and give truth because that is how He lived his life. His Purpose still lives on with us all. Ermias wasn’t a sad soul. He was a powerful strong magical soul. Today is the day we lift up. Long Live My other half. My beloved King Ermias. Nip Hussle The Great! I miss you. I love you. Still here holding it UP!"

London also paid homage to Nipsey on Instagram with a touching post on Father's Day in June.

Police are on high alert today in the area near Nipsey's shopping center, the place where his murder took place. They are expecting hundreds of people to show up to pay respects to the rapper. However, it doesn't look like those who go will be able to get close. The shopping center parking lot has been barricaded to prevent entry.
