R&B songbird Ledisi will be gracing a stage near you this spring.  The soulful sista is gearing up for her 'Truth Tour' and will be stopping off to 30 cities along the way.

The Truth Tour is named after her forthcoming album and will be Ledisi’s first and biggest, since her 2012 B.G.T.Y. Tour, which featured 25 stops.  Ledisi begins her journey April 16 in Jacksonville, Fla.   Jazz and R&B quartet the Robert Glasper Experiment will open for her throughout the performance spree.

Finally, the 1994 ‘Illmatic’ album by Nas will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most important rap albums of all time.  To commemorate the LP’s 20 year anniversary, Sony Legacy is going to drop the two-decade anniversary edition entitled ‘Illmatic XX’ on April 15.

The album will be a double-CD collection that will feature the 10 original tracks and 10 additional unreleased demos, remixes and freestyles.

In addition to the 20th anniversary project, Nas will embark on a U.S. tour performing album in its entirety and it’ll all jump off with a special performance at the JFK Center for the Performing Arts in D.C. on March 28 and 29, then the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in April.

Nas said of the original album, “With Illmatic, I didn’t think about it. I just did it. I believe everybody has good instincts. Now I’m a man from that past and I’m supremely grateful. There’s a Nigerian proverb ‘What is past is prologue.’ I’m here today because of ‘Illmatic.’
