President Trump appears to be trying to pull strings and use his influence to see that A$AP Rocky be freed following a street fight that landed him in a Swedish jail. Many people have questioned No. 45's motives surrounding his involvement in the situation including Lil Yachty who believes Trump is only getting involved to try and gain clout in the Black community.

Big Boat was interviewed by TMZ on Friday (July 26) at LAX when he opened up on the topic.

"I don't think that's the way to go about it, the way Trump handling it," he said of Trump's Twitter campaign. "If you gon' do something, just do it. You don't got to keep telling everybody, just do it. He ain't got to keep tweeting."

Yachty wouldn't go as far as going full-on Kanye West ("George Bush doesn't care about Black people"), but he did add that he thinks Trump lacks compassion and has ulterior motives.

"I don't think he doing shit either," Yachty added. "I know for a fact that Donald Trump don't give a...he don't care. He know this is some points. 'Oh man, I can really win a lot of Black people over.' He don't really care, dawg."

Let Trump tell it, he's team #FreeRocky. He reportedly had a 20 minute talk with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven last week.

"Just had a very good call with @SwedishPM Stefan Löfven who assured me that American citizen A$AP Rocky will be treated fairly," Trump posted on Twitter. "Likewise, I assured him that A$AP was not a flight risk and offered to personally vouch for his bail, or an alternative."

However, Löfven later countered Trump's assertions with the statement, "Everyone is equal before the law and that the government neither can nor will try to influence the judicial process."

Trump has doubled down on his stance, most recently demanding the release of Rocky who has been charged with assault in relation to the fight and will now stand trial.
