The 2024 Bayou Classic presented by Procter & Gamble 

The nation's premier HBCU event is going down this weekend, in New Orleans!  The 2024 Bayou Classic presented by Procter & Gamble marks the 51st anniversary of a long-standing tradition since 1974. Students, alumni, family, and friends look forward to every year during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The iconic football match-up is Saturday, November 30, 202,4 at 1 pm and will take place live at the Caesars Superdome. Louisiana's legendary HBCUs Grambling State University will face off with Southern University and A&M College, in an exciting gridiron event presented by Procter & Gamble.

However, there's a whole lot more going on before the big game. The entire schedule of events is below, including ticket details and the entertainment line-up. In the meantime, here's a few more things you may want to know about this iconic event:

WHEN IS THE BAYOU CLASSIC THANKSGIVING PARADE?

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 28

BAYOU CLASSIC THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE

• Starts: 3:00 pm
• Parade Route: starts on Poydras Street, parades down Poydras, turns left on St. Peters Street, turns left on Canal Street, turns left on St. Charles Street, turns right on Poydras Street, and ends at Poydras and Loyola.

BLACK FRIDAY NOVEMBER 29 

THE 2024 BUSINESS AT BAYOU CLASSIC:

• A Black Small Business Showcase
  Presented in partnership with the LA Chamber of Commerce
• Starts: 10:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Location: Hyatt Regency New Orleans
• Admission: Free and open to the public

BAYOU CLASSIC MOTIVATIONAL BALL RUN

• Begins at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge: 5:30 am
• Ends in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome: 1-1:30 pm

4TH ANNUAL SPECIAL OLYMPICS UNIFIED RIVALRY FLAG FOOTBALL GAME       - Presented By Special Olympics Louisiana

• Starts: 9 am
• Location: St. Augustine Practice Field (2525 St. Bernard Street/7th Ward)

BAYOU CLASSIC FAN FESTIVAL / "EMBRACE THE CULTURE"  - Presented By The City of New Orleans, Office of Cultural Economy and the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund

• Starts: 9:00 am
• Ends: 12 Noon
• Admission: Free and open to the public
• Location: Champions Square at the Caesars Superdome

THE 51ST BAYOU CLASSIC FOOTBALL GAME: GRAMBLING UNIVERSITY VS SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY AND A&M COLLEGE

The Southern Jaguars are the home team and seating for fans will be on the West Sideline near sections 129-156. Grambling Tigers fans can head to the visitor's side on the East Side of the dome near sections 101-128. Tickets are still available for the game at ticketmaster.com
