Louisiana residents who've received the COVID-19 vaccine have a chance to win cash prices, scholarships, and a grand prize of a million dollars.

Governor John Bel Edwards announced the new vaccine incentives yesterday during a press conference.

In July, the state will hold weekly drawings where four Louisiana residents who have been vaccinated will win $100,000. Nine students who have been vaccinated will also have a chance to win a $100,000 scholarship. The grand prize of $1 million will be drawn on August 4.

Any Louisiana resident who has been vaccinated from the beginning of the shots being available can enter the contest. You must be vaccinated by July 31 to qualify.
