Mariah Carey Joins The Cast Of Empire For Season 3

According to reports Mariah Carey will join the cast of Empire this fall! This should be pretty interesting. Fans were on the seat of their pants as FOX left us with another season ending cliff-hanger involving Rhonda and Anika. Which one of them fell to their death? Did they die at all? Why would FOX kill off either of them? The suspense is killing me!!!

Earlier this year it was rumored that both Mariah and Oprah would be appearing on the hit drama, but co-creator and executive producer, Danny Strong shot that down. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “I can’t control what names all of a sudden take off as being guest stars because they’re not." Well, looks like he had a change of heart or maybe he was trying to mislead us.

Whatever the case Mariah is defiantly joining the ever growing cast . As previously reported fans can also look for Kid Cudi, French Montana and Taye Diggs to make cameos in season 3 as well.

Meanwhile Mariah's character will be called Kitty, who's a mega-superstar looking to collaborate with Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett.) The two will hook-up for an explosive duet and at the same time Kitty will help Jamal overcome his inner demons to reach a musical breakthrough.

I can't wait!!! Empire Season 3 returns Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8 CT, of course on FOX.
